Recommendation written by Sally Battest

This story is based on a true newspaper article about how people gave away or sold their children in the 30s. Sometimes due to health or unavoidable circumstances, they were placed in children’s homes and adopted, without the parents’ consent.

Though this story is fiction based on life of a time before, it was a real eye-opener. It lead me to actually researching the era – wow!
